Delicious scones! Lately my favorite breakfast food! A cup of coffee and a scone in the morning is a beautiful thing. I love a scone with a moist inside and this is It! The pairing of blueberries and lemon are a match made in heaven! I've made this recipe as simple as possible with all my favorite things. Give it a try it won't take much until you too are hooked.

2 cups flour
1/4 cup sugar
1 tbs baking powder
1/2 tsp salt
6 tbs butter
2 tbs lemon zest
1/4 cup fresh lemon juice
1 tsp vanilla extract
1/2 cup milk
1/2 cup heavy cream
1 cup fresh blueberries
Glaze
1 tsp lemon zest
1/4 cup fresh lemon juice
1/2 cup powdered sugar

In a large mixing bowl add flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt. Add the butter in chunks and mix with a pastry cutter until the batter is crumbly.
Next mix in lemon juice, zest, vanilla, milk, and heavy cream. Mix until everything is combined.
Last carefully mix in the blueberries, you don't want to squish the blueberries.
Shape the dough into a circle, and cut with a pizza cutter to get 8 slices.

Bake at 400 degrees for 20 minutes until golden brown. When they are done let them cool completely. For the glaze mix all the ingredients and spoon over the scones.
