Peanut Butter Blossom Cookies

This is a recipe from my childhood. These sweet little cookies melt in your mouth and the chocolate on top just screams deliciousness. I bet you can't eat just one! This is a simple and foolproof recipe. 

½ cup shortening ½ cup peanut butter ½ cup white sugar ½ cup brown suger 1 egg 2 TBS milk 1 ¾ cups flour ½ tsp salt 1 tsp baking soda 1 tsp vanilla Mix in order. Roll in 1 inch balls, then in sugar. When cookies come out of the oven, press chocolate star candy in center. Do no flatten. Bake 350 for 12 minutes.
