Macaroni Tuna salad is a dish that has been in our family for as long as I can remember. Growing up this was not one of my favorite things. As I got older I've more or less learned to like it. You're either a tuna person or not, and I defiantly am not a tuna person, but this is the only dish that I will eat now with tuna in it. It really is a great salad to share for a pot luck, I like to make it when we are grilling burgers and brats it just makes you feel summery inside.
1 can of tuna
Small bag of frozen peas
1 box of elbow macaroni
1 small onion
2 to 3 stalks of celery
1 1/2 to 2 cups miracle whip
salt and pepper
Start by boiling the noodles, make them according to the box. Once they are done strain them and I like to run cold water over them so they are not so hot. Dice the onion and celery into smaller chunks add that to a big bowl add the frozen peas and noodles, mix to combine them. Drain the can of tuna add that to the bowl and mix around. Now here is the part you kind of want to eye ball start out with the miracle whip stated mix it around, it's up to you how creamy you prefer it you may want to add more. Give a taste, add the salt and pepper for taste as well. Store in the refrigerator and enjoy.
