Creamy apple and walnut fruit salad sounds delightful, and even more so while your eating it. With spring here it's the perfect dish to serve at those cookouts, its refreshing, crispy, crunchy and creamy. With a hint of cinnamon in those apples your family and friends will love this and ask for more every time.
4 green apples (granny smith)
4 red apples (gala)
2 cups water
2 tbs fresh lemon juice
3/4 cups chopped walnuts
3/4 cups dried cranberries
In a large bowl combine water and lemon juice, dice apples and set them in the water/lemon mixture. This helps them to not brown on you. Once all the apples are cut up add the walnuts and cranberries mix together.
8oz softened cream cheese
8 oz sour cream
1/2 cup brown sugar
2 tsp ground cinnionmon
1/8 tsp nutmeg
1 tsp vanilla extract
Here is the creamy goodness. In a mixer combine cream cheese, brown sugar, cinnamon, and nutmeg. Once it's all combined add the sour cream and vanilla. Mix again. Slowly mix in the cream cheese mixture with the apples until its coated to your liking. Refrigerate an hour and serve. Enjoy!
