This dessert is a gem! Cream puff dessert comes from my husbands side of the family, one of the old recipes the farmers wives would have tucked in their stash of delicious homemade goodies. It may look a little intimating to make but really its not too bad at all. I will break it down for you and you'll be making this one in no time flat.

Start out by taking one cup of water and 1 stick (oleo) margarine put into a medium saucepan and bring to a boil. Once the margarine is melted add one cup of flour. Turn off the heat. Stir this mixture into a ball.

Now add four eggs, one at a time mixing each one until its thoroughly mixed in. Grease a cookie sheet and spread this mixture into a rectangle on the sheet. Bake at 350 for 30 minutes.

Once that is done baking, let it cool a bit and pull it off the cookie sheet and transfer it into a 9x13 pan. The pastry will have puffed up after baking.

For the filling mix together two boxes of french vanilla pudding, 8 oz of soften cream cheese, and three cups of milk. It will become a pudding like texture, spread that over the top of the pastry. To top off the dessert add a layer of cool whip and squeeze some chocolate syrup over the top. Put into the refrigerator for at least an hour before cutting into it.
